Axes of openness

Koby Cottage is a residential institute for troubled teens in Michigan, USA. The building is in the shape of an X, with a dining area in the cross point. This provides a neutral meeting space for the teenagers and visiting parents, away from private quarters.

Steel's strength-to-weight ratio made it ideal for this innovative and open structure.
