Mika Saariaho appointed Deputy Secretary General of IISI

The International Iron and Steel Institute (IISI) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mika Saariaho as Deputy Secretary General of IISI. Mika will take up his appointment on 11 June 2007.
Mika Saariaho joins IISI from Outokumpu Oyj where he is currently Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Planning. Mika is currently based at Outokumpu’s head office in Espoo, Finland. He will move to Brussels to take up his new position.
Mika holds a Doctorate of Science in Technology from Helsinki University of Technology.
“I am delighted that Mika has decided to join IISI and wish him success with his new responsibilities”, said IISI Secretary General, Ian Christmas.
