本周,我到柏林参加世界钢铁协会主办的钢铁业务战略课程——国际钢铁管理培训班。来自14家企业的三十多名业界最优秀的年青高管参加了本届培训。

如果人才是一个行业的健康指标之一,我从本次活动看到非常积极的一面。另外,我还注意到这类活动的重要性。人员的连续培训和发展是钢铁企业乃至整个行业未来成功的关键。在柏林,我看到来自世界各地的人们非常开放地分享观点和经历,这种分享显然是非常有益的。

本定制课程旨在满足全球钢铁行业培养高潜力候备人才的需求。会上热烈地讨论了新技术投资、建立企业合伙、资产买卖、产品组合、如何与内外受众交流变革和战略问题,以及投资培养工人等战略性决策问题。本周课程以案例研究为基础,今年案例的提供者恰好是我的公司——纽柯钢铁公司。另外,还有业界及学术界的讲座作为补充。

与去年一样,案例研究解决方案的质量让我十分钦佩。我回国时,将带回一些可以让我思考的新想法。参加钢铁管理培训班让我不虚此行,并且根据与其他成员的交流,我相信他们也将带回一些改进工作的新知识和新想法。

    Yes. Training, development and execution are the only ways through which Steel Organisations can find newer paths to follow and leverage their business in a scenario where there is a perennial pressure on margins.
